Keith will be giving a seminar on the “Science of Agreement” on Thursday 11 March here at Virtuoso Legal’s offices at 6pm. In that seminar Keith will be shedding some light on what makes people say “yes” or “maybe.” Keith was awarded the accolade ‘Business Mentor of the Year 2009’ by Yell.com after nominations and votes from mentees and clients.
He has created and developed small businesses for most of the past 37 years during which time he has returned to university on three occasions to expand his theoretical knowledge.
His greatest achievement, he claims, was the business he started in the depths of recession 20 years ago and developed to earnings of half a million Pounds a year and a balance sheet value of £200K, in just two years, with no borrowing and just £4000 starter capital.
Keith was once a student of Prof. Robert Cialdini who carried out extensive research into the psychology of persuasion. It became clear that all humans are programmed to respond by instinct, an inherited rather than learned pattern of response, and agreement is programmed into us in six clearly identifiable ways. Keith believes that these instincts were learned before we became homo-sapiens but that our development has made a seventh as important.
